I am attempting to use a USB mic and headset. The program is only giving me one shot at recording before telling me that it can’t play or record anything else to my sound file. See message in attached picture. What am I doing wrong? Sometimes it will work, but most times I get this message.

Is there a driver or other software product associated with the headset? Whatever you do in Windows 10 has to say “Windows 10.”
Win10 is enough of a change from earlier systems that it takes purpose-made drives and interfaces. If you use older drivers or software, the system may not stiffen up and fall over immediately, but it could be unstable or prone to failure at odd times.
