Help for Audacity 2.x.x on Windows.

ImageThis forum is for Audacity 2.x.x on Windows.

  • Please state which version of Windows you are using, the exact three-section version of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".

  • Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

The first thing to do is to Export the tracks as WAV files. Note that if you want individual songs to appear as separate tracks, each song must be exported as a separate WAV file.

Here is a detailed tutorial about making audio CDs:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/burn ... _a_cd.html

Please note that the above tutorial is written for the new version of Audacity (2.2.0). If you are using an older version, some of the details may be slightly different, particularly the names of some menu items. I would highly recommend that you use the latest version of Audacity.
You can find the version number of your current version by looking in the "Help menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 2.2.0 is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/
