Just got an alert from Videohelp that Audacity 2.2.0 was released.
Went to the Audacity site to verify http://www.audacityteam.org/
Most recent post there is “Audacity 2.2.0 Release Candidate”, with a link to that.
No date on this or any other post there, which is quite confusing.
Since announcements are listed for previous releases, I assumed that the RC was still the most recent version.
Came here and can’t see anything about stable 2.2.0 release at all.
Enquired at Videohelp, was pointed to https://www.fosshub.com/Audacity.html which has
"Download Audacity Windows Installer - 19.34 MB | version: 2.2.0 | SHA256 signature "
Which certainly looks like an official stable release. Again, no date on this.
Would be nice if it these various Audacity pages were consistent.
