can I suffer ear damage? audio speed change

can I suffer ear damage when I play this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bj3YSTu3jUs or this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGwnyRj-hUU at 400x speed or 1000x and when I replay it 1000 times? can I also speed it up further without suffering ear damage? any help would be appreciated, thanks =)

Ear damage may occur from listening to any loud sounds, particularly if listening over a prolonged period of time.

I can’t watch the videos because I’m at work, but the short answer is no… unless you listen too loud.

If your ears hurt while listening, or if there are after-effects like ringing in your ears or if you temporarily “feel deaf”, you are listening too loud!

If you increase playback speed the “normal” way, you will shift the frequencies/pitch proportionally. You are more likely to fry a tweeter than your ears. (It’s possible to burn-out a tweeter with high power energy that would have normally gone to the woofer.) So, keep the volume down, especially if you have a high-power audio system!

BTW - Most of the ultrasonic energy will be removed due to hardware limitations and the sample rate. But, it is possible to fry a tweeter with sounds above the audio range. Or, an amplifier… I burned-up my power amp once when a preamp I was building turned-into an RF oscillator. There was no warning, the amp just went silent on one side and I figured-out what had happened later. (My tweeters survived!)

I made a bigger loop version, there are up to 2 million people in there, will it damage my ears or not?
