Error opening device to play recording from Voicemeeter Banana

Hi all,

I am having the same problem. I am using Audacity and Voicemeeter Banana. Everything records fine… but if I go to playback the audio in Audacity I get the “Error opening sound device” error message. I then change the project rates (Hz), and then I am able to playback the recording, then the next recording I have to change the (Hz) back again.

I have matched up the Hz in windows sound as well as Voicemeeter and am not sure what the issue could be.

In recording device I have set it to VoiceMeeter Output (VB-Audio VoiceMeeter VAIO)

I am running windows 10 64bit

Hoping you can help

No, the user whose topic you jumped into was usinɡ a Realtek playback device. I started a new topic for you.

You don’t say what playback device you are using in Audacity’s Device Toolbar.

Support for Banana is provided by the author Vincent Burel, but Banana has an integrated recorder which may or may not save you changing the Audacity host or playback device.

MME host is most compatible Audacity choice.

Windows WASAPI will ignore the Default Format sample rates in Windows Sound if you use WIndows WASAPI and enable the “Exclusive Mode boxes” below Default Format.
