i was messing around with an old song a client recorded, when i was finished i put it in a new folder, in which only contains the .aup file, and the _data folder. When i try to open the aup, audacity tells me that there was an error importing, and i should use file > open to open .aup files, so i did; and i got the exact same message that there was an error importing, and i should use file > open to open. Ive tried everyone in the forums mostly, i really need help recovering this banger.
Please attach the AUP file to your reply so that we can examine it.

Unfortunately the AUP is corrupt.
In some text editors the AUP file will appear to be empty. In my software programmer’s editor, it looks like this:
The most likely cause of the corruption is if the computer went to sleep before the file was saved.
