I am writing music remotely with a partner and he has Audacity and I have Audacity. we are sharing files to layer tracks / mix etc. we are so far unable to dropbox share the audacity production file folder and have the other open it in their Audacity program. Help!
You know there are two parts to a project; the AUP file and its _data folder?
Have you tried making a ZIP archive containing both the AUP file and its _data folder and sending that via dropbox?
One danger to guard against is updating the project data remotely.
Audacity cannot track changes to the project made outside Audacity, so trying to do so will corrupt the project.
