Help for Audacity 2.x.x on Windows.

ImageThis forum is for Audacity 2.x.x on Windows.

  • Please state which version of Windows you are using, the exact three-section version of Audacity from Help > About Audacity and whether you obtained the .exe installer or the zip.

  • Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at http://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

You can import some trance music into Audacity, and at your own risk, listen to it, or pin the playback head and become mesmerised as you look at the waves.

Or are you talking about Brainwave entrainment?

Is there a reason you won't tell us what version of Windows you are using?

Thank you. I updated your Profile. So when you ask a question you only now need to to tell us your version of Audacity (all three numbers, see the pink panel at the top of the page).

Normally you insert hidden messages at inaudible volumes, or for brainwave entrainment, insert low frequency tones in each channel at very slightly different frequencies. See http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plug-ins#Isochronic_modulator and read the links in that plugin's description.

Audacity takes no responsibilty whatever for any harm you do to yourself.
