Re: Problem about Recording calls in window 7

Help for Audacity 2.x.x on Windows.

ImageThis forum is for Audacity 2.x.x on Windows.

  • Please state which version of Windows you are using, the exact three-section version of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".

  • Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

Assuming these are VoIP calls like Skype then you won't easily be able to correct the volume imbalance and also both parties to the call will be mixed together instead of in separate channels.

Use a recording application meant for recording VoIP calls. If it's Skype try Pamela http://www.pamela.biz/ or MP3 Skype Recorder: http://voipcallrecording.com/.

Note that the current Audacity version is 2.1.2 which you can obtain from our site http://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
