I cut the end of one track and pasted it onto the end of another, but there is now a “click” sound in the final track where the cut/paste was made. How do I get rid of this sound?
It’s most likely you have DC Offset in one track and not the other – or maybe both. It doesn’t take much to produce a click or pop.

You can get rid of that by Effect > Normalize > Remove DC (don’t let the tool do anything else). The trick is you have to do it to the clips before you edit. You can’t pull DC out later.
If you cut on a loud music passage you may have caught the waveforms off time. The up and down pattern of blue waves must be maintained at the cut point.
This is simplified, but the one on top is bad.
