Song wont' play when added to video Windows Live Movie Maker

Hello everyone  Im new here…I got a new usb microphone to record some of my singing on audacity. When I got done recording, I exported the file, and went onto Windows Live Movie maker so I could make an audio video to put on Youtube. When I added the song file, there was no sound when I clicked play on the video. Perhaps it was an issue with the recording settings when the file was exported? Any help would be appreciated  Thank you

You still have the Audacity Project or original WAV files, right? Try exporting them at 48000, 16-bit, Stereo. That’s the television sound standard and that’s not Audacity default.

well, ive exported before when i DIDNT have the new microphone, and they still played in my movie clips. I’m wondering if it had to do with me changing the stereo and microphone settings when I plugged in my microphone :frowning:

Is your new microphone USB?
If so, see here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ:Playback#usb

I will try the above tips. Thank you so much for replying to my post! It means a lot to me.

If I am still having issues, I will ressurect this thread.
