Unable to start the programm because SHOCK.dll is missing

Hello world!

I use Audacity since a long time, this programm is very nice. I bought a new computer last month and I’ve installed the new release of Audacity today. When I start Audacity 2.0, I get an error message:

“Impossible de démarrer le programme car il manque SHOCK.dll sur votre ordinateur. Essayez de réinstaller le programme pour corriger ce problème.” (Yes, I’m french so excuse my english )
In english, it means “Unable to start the programm because SHOCK.dll is missing on your computer. Try to reinstall the programm to solve the problem.”

When I click OK in this window, the message appears a second time. I click OK again and Audacity start normally. So, I think SHOCK.dll is not an essential part of Audacity?

Thank you all!

Version of Audacity: 2.0.0 (executable, french)
OS: Windows 7 SP1 x64 up to date
Config: Corei7 2600K, 8GB RAM, SSD Corsair Force3 128GB

SHOCK.dll is nothing to do with Audacity as far as I’m aware. I’ve never heard of it before.

Aha, that’s why Google don’t know anything about SHOCK.dll

In the task manager of Windows, the error message is related to the “csrss.exe” process… Strange. But the title of the error message is “audacity.exe - system error”. Very strange.

Don’t matter, once started, Audacity works fine and that’s the most important.

Thanks a lot!

Have a nice day
