I am currently using Audacity successfully on one of my laptops that has Windows XP Pro operating system. I am sending the mixer output into the mic input of the laptop and using ‘SigmaTel Audio: external mic’ as the device input.
The other laptop has Windows 7 Pro operating sytem. I can’t even find an external mic as an option as the device input. The device input options are totally different and I can’t find one that works. I used the same Audacity download to set them both up. Everything else about Audacity is identical. Even the setup and parameters are the same.
Suggestions please,
