Is there a newer, quicker way 2.0 of appending a second file to the end of one already on the timeline?
If you mean, to append a new recording as you capture it: Transport…Append Record (Shift+R). If you mean an imported file, then select the newly imported track and use the Timeshift tool to drag-and-drop after the first recording.
