Won't Record on ver 2.0

Hello,

I opened up an instrumental mp3 song so i can sing and record, but I can’t get it to play when i Pressed the ’ Record Button’ , it just stops or pause. With the older version, there was no problem. Help me pls. Thank You.

I’m using Winxp Home Edition 398mb ram

What sort of microphone are you using and how is it connected to the computer?
What settings do you have in the Device Toolbar?
What other options are available in the Device Toolbar?
