Yup, that’s right, i haven’t got very far with this new project. A real beginner. I can hear the music from pc speakers but it’s not showning on the meter. What am I missing? Realy need your help…anyone?

Problem one - you can’t read the instructions on where to post your question. Go and post in the forum for the version of audacity you are using, then the sub-forum for your operating system. This will then mean that people who can help you will read it. This section is (as the description says) for “forum-specific messages”, i.e. problems with the forum software, requests for extra features and so on.
I really like the two-tone blue colors we’re using for the forum dialogs. Whose idea was that?
