I was wondering if it is possible to embed audacity on a web page for recording sounds and automatically saving it to a MySQL database? IS there any way this can be achieved?

It’s open source, so go ahead.
You’ll have to do a lot of coding, or convince someone to do a lot of coding for you though.
You should also be aware of any legal ramifications of storing someone else’s copyrighted material. The people who use your software to make a recording will own the copyright to that recording, so they’ll have to be able to control the access to that material.
