Is there any way to cause Audacity to zoom with the mouse wheel WITHOUT having to press the control key? That’s the way zoom works on Adobe Audition, and I would LOVE to have that feature on Audacity. It’s the only editor I use now, and it’s fantastic! Assuming there is not a way to do this zoom, please consider this post as a new feature request.
You can’t just use the mouse wheel on its own, because that scrolls vertically when you have multiple tracks.
You can click on the zoom buttons (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/edit_toolbar.html#zoom_in)
You can also select a part that you want to zoom in on, then click the “Zoom to Selection” button (shown on the same page).
