Audacity Feature Requests

Post a new topic in this forum to tell us about new features you want in Audacity, or about your ideas for improving its current features. If it's a good idea, hopefully it might generate some interesting discussion! Note however that there are some ideas we might not be able to implement, for example for licensing reasons.

To keep track of all the requests, we use a Feature Requests page on our Audacity Wiki:
http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... e_Requests

Here the requests are sorted into categories, and each request has a tag where votes can be added. Therefore, Feature Requests made on this Forum will expire after the topic has been inactive for a month, and then be summarised and moved to the Wiki, or their votes added.

If you are experienced in using Wikis, you are most welcome to ask for a WIki account, then you can add your new feature, vote or comment directly to the Feature Requests page without using the Forum.

While you are visiting the Wiki, don't forget to check out all the other tutorials, tips and articles on offer there.
