Go to Control Panel, Click the Hardware and Sound link, then click Sound, Click on the Speakers and then the Properties button. After that go to the Enhancements tab and disable everything except Virtual Surround. Under the advanced tab make sure its 16 bit, 44100 hz(Cd quality). That is what I remember doing and it fixed my problem. Let me know if it helps and if you need anymore help. Don't feel bad I don't know much about computers either lol.
