Initial Key Pitch

On almost every song that I OPEN, I go to the EFFECT and then CHANGE PITCH, the starting pitch says "F".
Is this normal that "F" should show? Occassionally, a song with have a different starting pitch.
But hardly ever.

I tend to like E or Eb but to be honest, I do not know the note pitches.
But I want to learn. But I need to know if the starting pitch is correct info.

Do you know anything about the starting value? it appears it can also be changed.
So I am in the dark about all this. All i want to know is what Key Pitch am I starting with.

thanks

The pitch indicated is the effect's "best guess" at the starting note of the selected audio. It is not necessarily correct. The important issue is how much you want to move the pitch up/down by.
